The ARROWS law firm is providing legal representation to one of the most important industrial employers in the Olomouc Region in a collective labor dispute.
More than 160 employees filed lawsuits alleging unequal treatment in connection with the provision of accommodation allowances to foreign employees. At the heart of the dispute is the question of whether preferential accommodation provided to some employees can be considered discriminatory in the context of an employment relationship.
The case is highly sensitive in terms of law and reputation and involves significant procedural scope. The key task was to establish a uniform defense strategy reflecting the individual specifics of each claim while defending the client's long-standing personnel policy before courts of all levels.
The team is led by Mgr. Jakub Oliva, LL.M., MSc., a recognized expert in labor law specializing in collective labor disputes. The case is also handled by Mgr. Oliver Uraz, LL.M., an attorney specializing in litigation, Mgr. Petr Hanzel, LL.M., who focuses on traffic offenses and IT law, and Mgr. Bc. Kryštof Pažourek, who provides labor law advice and representation in court.
The case is an example of excellent teamwork aimed at defending the legitimate interests of the employer in a highly exposed dispute with potential implications for the entire area of employee benefits and equal treatment.
